CCMC Winter Retreat
The 2025 Winter Retreat is now full to capacity for both weekender and daytripper registrations. We may have cancellations, however, so if you’re still interested in coming, join the short waiting list by emailing: Retreat@musiccamp.org. Please specify whether you want to be on the waiting list for weekend or daytripper entry. Every Winter Retreat attendee must be pre-registered.
If you are already registered to attend Winter Retreat 2025 and now have a change in plans, please send an email to retreat@musiccamp.org to alert us right away. Please tell us if. for example, you need to reduce from full weekend to Saturday-only attendance or you now know you cannot attend at all. This is important for many reasons and allows us to give the opportunity to others. Winter Retreat’s cancellation policy is that a refund of the attendance price less $30 processing fee was available until January 31, 2025. Refund requests are now honored on a case by case basis, so if you must cancel, please advise whether applying for a refund as well.
If you are disappointed to miss out on the biggest jamming weekend of the year, please make a note on your calendar to start looking for 2026 Winter Retreat information on the CCMC website in mid-December. While we hope to catch you next time, here’s a reminder to look up your Camp friends, reach out to them and set a time to gather and play music together. Summer Camp registration opens soon and we hope to see you then as well.
CCMC’s annual winter retreat is a fun way to bring a little camp spirit back into your life in the midst of winter. It’s also a great opportunity to introduce friends and family to the CCMC community. The retreat is open to all CCMC alumni, plus one guest (of any age) per attendee.
WHEN: February 21-23, 2025, from Friday 4 p.m. Registration Opens Soon (dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.) through Sunday 2:00 p.m. Please do not arrive before 4 p.m. on Friday. Saturday-only option: If you can’t make it for the entire weekend, join us for lunch and dinner on Saturday, February 22. “Day trippers” must leave the site by midnight on Saturday.
WHERE: In the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains, at a retreat facility with plenty of places to play music in large and small groups, hiking trails, and other recreational facilities. Winter retreat takes place rain or shine!
WHAT HAPPENS THERE: No structured activities are planned. We do have a few traditions, however. There’s usually a singer/songwriter’s circle, and there’s often a Beatles jam, bluegrass jams, ukulele circles, gospel revival, slow (and fast) swing jams, and hot Django. The weekend is yours to sing, dance, play, socialize, whatever!
LODGING: Overnight lodging is pre-assigned. You can request a co-ed, women-only, men-only, or a quiet-at-night room. Shared rooms have 2-3 total occupants, and you may request specific roommates. By pre-arrangement, there is limited space for small RVs (<25 ft), at the same cost as other lodging. There are a limited number of single-occupancy rooms offered at a premium price. If these are sold out, indicate on your registration form if you would like to upgrade if a spot opens up, and we will place you on a waiting list.
MEALS: The full weekend price includes six meals: Friday dinner, three meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast and lunch. We pay ahead for everyone to enjoy Sunday’s lunch, so if you have to run along we hope you’ll take a ‘to go’ lunch with you. If you have dietary restrictions or specific food allergies, send an e-mail to retreat@musiccamp.org with “Diet Special” in the subject line.
COVID PROTOCOLS: CCMC no longer requires proof of vaccination for attendees. In the interest of keeping everyone as safe as possible, CCMC asks all attendees to take an at-home test within 24 hours before your departure to camp. If you are not feeling well, please do not come even if you test negative. Let retreat@musiccamp.org know as soon as possible. While we expect fewer attendees compared to pre-Covid times, there is an inherent risk in attending any gathering. We offer a few single-occupancy rooms at a higher price, but most attendees will have a roommate or two. Some attendees may feel more comfortable wearing a mask indoors — and that’s OK.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT: Please fill out the registration form below. You may then pay online using PayPal. Or, if you’re paying by check, choose Pay By Check and mail your check to: California Coast Music Camp, P.O. Box 60875, Palo Alto, CA 94306-0875.
CANCELLATIONS: Registrations are not transferable. If you must cancel, let retreat@musiccamp.org know ASAP. If you cancel before January 31, 2025, you’ll get a full refund, minus a $30 processing fee. There are no refunds for cancellations in February. (Exceptions will be considered in a case-by-case basis.)
CONFIRMATION: You’ll receive a confirmation email with the site address and other details. If you do not receive your confirmation email shortly after registering, check your Spam/Junk folder.
